The University of Wrocław & Tourism & Hospitality Course - A Glimpse

The University of Wrocław is one of the fine adornments of the Wrocław city centre region. The university's main building's prolific architecture is one of the first noticeable things while exploring the Rynek precinct. In addition to the fine architecture, the university's excellent past and its mention among the top public universities in Europe is commendable.

On October 21, 1702, some 318 years ago, the University of Wrocław (Uniwersytet Wrocławski) was established in Wrocław, Poland. Today, the University of Wrocław is ranked number six in Poland and is a major public research university not only in Poland but in the entire European Union. The University's magnificence precedes its name, aura of which can be experienced soon after you walk through the rustic alleys of the Main Market Square in Rynek.

With centuries of distinguished history, a range of courses offered in the English language, and illustrious faculty backing, the Wrocław University makes for an excellent choice for everyone looking for an esteemed university for higher education in Europe.

After being reorganised in 1945, the University of Wrocław got recognised as the largest educational institution in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship that offers major international courses in the English language.

 

Today, the University of Wrocław master's, bachelor's, and research programs collectively have over 23000 students enrolled.  Since 1945, the university successfully conferred degrees to over 100,000 graduates, including some 1,900 researchers. Most university scholars have won the highest awards for their contribution to the development of their respective fields.

 


 

The University of Wrocław Museums & Mathematical Tower

Wrocław University Museums comprise Leopoldine Hall, Oratorium Maranum, and Mathematical Tower. These Museums are the perfect place to witness prolific scientific works from over three centuries. Some of the remarkable attractions of the museum are Galileo’s sector from 1665, an astrolabe from the 14th century, a reconstruction of the head of an Egyptian princess and her authentic mummy, and peculiar specimens of flora and fauna from different continents and period.

Despite all the destruction – caused, among others, by World War II – University museums still take pride in their extensive collections. Some of the exquisite equipment and calibrating gadgets from the 16th century are displayed in the Mathematical Tower. Once you get to the top of the museum building making your way through the exhibitions on the Mathematical Tower, you get to experience such panoramic views of the Wrocław city and Odra River nearby.

The University of Wrocław students and employees are allowed free admission to the Museum. The Aula Leopoldina and Oratorium Marianum are unquestionably the most visually appealing halls in the entire Wrocław. The university organises academic functions in the halls from time to time. While they also host events and ceremonies independent of the Museum.

From Christmas concert to special gatherings, the Leopoldine Hall and Oratorium Marianum still serve as academic halls. Audio guides are available for individual as well as group tourists in Aula Leopoldina and Oratorium Marianum.

Library - Institute of Geography & Regional Development

Every student of the Tourism and Hospitality course is entitled to enter, study in, and borrow books from the most rustic and fascinating library of the University of Wrocław. Located on the University main building second floor, the library of the Institute of Geography & Regional Development (IGRD) is a visual treat for every onlooker. Studying or working in the fascinating world of maps, books, a massive globe miniature, and tasteful library ensembles is such a delight for students.

Even though most of the books are in the Polish language, their variety of content on geographical subjects is immense.

 


 

Tourism & Hospitality Course at the University of Wrocław

Formerly popular as the University of Breslau (Wrocław's last name), the university has seen major geographical boundary shift over centuries, produced 9 Nobel Laureates, and has been testimony to some pathbreaking developments in the field of science and art across the world. Post-WWII period, the reformed Wrocław University was founded in 1945, replacing the previous German University of Breslau.

The University of Wrocław offers degree courses at the bachelor and master level. The major faculties at the University of Wrocław provide at least one master's programme in English and some at the bachelor level. Additionally, there is an extensive number of programmes offered in the Polish language.

All the university courses are divided into three stages according to the Bologna process. a three-year bachelor's programme and a two-year master's programme. Degrees awarded by the University of Wrocław have global recognition.

Among all the University of Wrocław master's courses, Tourism and Hospitality (T&H) is a popular program for all aspiring English-speaking students from all across the world. The T&H program imparts specific knowledge of the tourism sector to everyone who wants to link their career with tourism and hospitality.

The program incorporates courses that offer an overview of the environment and explains the fundamentals of sustainable tourism development.
