1. Institute of Geography & Regional Development Library

Of all the things that the University of Wrocław main building is famed for, the Geography Department Library is least popular. Though libraries are mostly for work and studies, the geography dept. This library located on the second floor of the main building is a masterpiece.

It is rustic, it is artistic, it is vintage, and absolutely a geography enthusiast’s delight. The library interiors make for a perfect setting to shoot some shows or city promo video from time to time for all the charming look and feel of this space.

The library timings are tricky because it changes every season and isn’t open on all days. You can’t enter this space unless you have a student’s ID card from the University of Wrocław. This means that the geography dept. The library is exclusively for university students. It is suggested to check the geography dept. website or get in touch with them via email or phone before making any plans.

2. University Main Library

The University of Wrocław Main Library (Biblioteka Uniwersytecka we Wrocławiu) located on Fryderyka Joliot-Curie street is a great place to work and study. The prolific reading room with all the aesthetics and world of books around make it a perfect place to work or study. Not to mention, the library also has a free wifi connection.

Moreover, the magnificent structure of the building, extraordinary views from the reading room, panoramic views of the river, National Museum, and Most Grunwaldzki Bridge all turn this gorgeous place into a top attraction of Wrocław. All of this makes the Main Library a distinguished part of the Kampus Grunwaldzki.

To access the library reading room, one must have a student ID card from the University of Wrocław. Library timings are subject to any work or renovation going inside the building. It is, therefore, recommended to check with the library authorities over the phone/email well in advance.

3. Księgarnia Hiszpańska

No way you can miss out on a visit to Księgarnia Hiszpańska! This lovely library cum cafe is located in Wrocław city centre in the backdrop of the former Main library of Wrocław. Księgarnia Hiszpańska or the Spanish Library is a super cosy and colourful place for books and events lovers. Yes, they do organise musical events and jam sessions from time to time.

What more, you can join the free Spanish practice sessions organised by the library. On weekdays, the library is open until 11 pm, while on weekends, they're open until 1 am. The Spanish Library in Wrocław makes for the perfect option for those looking for a quaint corner to work or join some cool jazz music while grabbing one of the beers or fruity drinks available at their bar.

4. Ossolineum Institute Library

With one of the finest courtyards in Wrocław city, Ossolineum Institute is worth a visit when you're in Wrocław. It is located in the backdrop of the University Main building. Ossolineum library, with its deafening silent study hall, is a perfect place to work and study. You need a separate card made at the library premises to have uninterrupted access to the library. The price is 10 zloty. Optionally, they also allow you if you have a university of Wroclaw student ID card.

Next to the small gate near the institute entrance, there is a garden, and it is absolutely worth a visit. Besides the library, this is a place with some nice benches where you can sit and relax or get some work done. Through the garden, you can access a free art gallery, as well as a free toilet.
