Top Wrocław Beach Bars For Perfect Summer Evenings & Night Outs

April 21, 2022 by Amit Chandra

The city beach bars are so essential in the Wrocław nightlife scene. This city, located in southwestern Poland, might not have prolific sea beaches with gleaming sand and crashing waves reflecting the heavenly blue like the Baltic coast. But the Lower Silesian capital is endowed with the terrific nature that thrives around the Odra river.

That’s why in 2015, the foundation of Zazoo Beach Bar was laid. To this day, it is the leader in its segment. Over the years, several new beach bars popped up by the banks of the Odra.

Looking around, one can glimpse a bunch of locations in the city, either canvassed by a thick nature canopy or skirted by the Odra river that makes for a stunning tourist attraction in Wrocław. These nature spaces also work as a unique setting to sit and chill with friends on a pleasant summer evening while sipping some chilled craft beer and enjoying some cool live shows, savouring every moment. Moreover, they serve fantastic food options as well!

Pandemic hit the city beach bars quite hard, but eventually, 2021 was the year for them to make an astonishing comeback. With a few more beach bars in the town, 2022 looks quite promising for the Wrocław city dwellers.

Protip: Make the best use of their social media profiles (Facebook & Instagram) hyperlinked below. The city beach bars mostly publish events, concerts, special games, updates and offers on their social media channels frequently. It’s worth checking it out, especially on the weekends ;)

Top beach bars in Wrocław city

We start from the east of the city!

1. OpatoVice Beach Bar

Starting with the easternmost side of the city, OpatoVice Beach Bar is known for its decent crowd and quieter atmosphere. The beach bar’s location works to its advantage, making it less crowded than other city beach bars. That said, if you want to find a quiet spot, it may be worth taking a trip to Opatovice Beach Bar.

Just grab a chair and sit next to the river! Surrounded by the calm of the night and interrupted by crashing water from the dam nearby, OpatoVice makes for the highlight of Wrocław nightlife.

Across the river, Wyspa OpatoVice (OpatoVice Island) makes for a nice place away from the light or noise pollution to gather on summer nights and enjoy a barbecue and bonfire with friends.

Where: Braci Gierymskich 151, 51-640 Wrocław

Major highlights: Quieter ambience and comparatively less crowded, Opatovice dam and island, extremely popular among cyclists (including myself) because of the nicely laid track from Hala Stulecia to Opatovice Beach Bar

2. Odra-Pany Beach Bar

Odra-Pany Beach Bar, located in the vicinity of Zazoo Beach Bar in the backdrop of Wrocław Zoo, boasts lush green space right next to the Odra River. A majority of the crowd shifts to Zazoo because of its established name and popularity in Wrocław city.

Makes me say that if you enjoy the city beach bar concept but noisy people and loud music puts you off, Odra-Pany Beach Bar could be an idyllic option for you.

Google rating: 4.4/5

Where: Kładka Zwierzyniecka, 50-438 Wrocław

Major highlights: Serving beer & light bites, a little edgier and hipster than Zazoo, but certainly less crowded.

3. Zazoo Beach Bar

A top chillout bar in Wrocław, Zazoo is a lively place for your summer evenings in the city. Staying in contention for the 7th year in a row since its inception back in 2015, Zazoo has come a long way to become a favourite hotspot during summer nights in Wrocław. The bar’s location next to the Zoo means that even if you decide to take a casual stroll to the Wrocław Zoo, you can eventually jump by this place.

The deckchairs carefully aligned on the grassy slopes enhance the appearance of the place thus making Zazoo a pick of summer nightlife in Wrocław.

Expect long queues on weekend evenings, it’s better to be there a bit before it gets dark and too packed to find the desired spot.

4. Forma Płynna Beach Bar

I’d put Forma Płynna and Zazoo Beach Bar at the top of my favourite summer beach bars in Wrocław. Forma Płynna is located in the vicinity of Politechnica Wrocławska and Pasaż Grunwaldzki, the two major hubs for students and working-class daily commuters in the region.

What separates Forma Płynna from the other Wrocław beach bars in the region is the aesthetics and carefully laid deckchairs underneath a thick forest canopy.

What’s more? Plenty of bartenders, a fun corner for kids, a variety of craft beer, and plenty of experiences ready to be sampled at this top beach bar in Wrocław city located to the east of the city centre. Don’t forget to soak up the cool vibes of this place as you prepare to experience the best nightlife in Wrocław this summer!

Google rating: 4.6/5

Where: wybrzeże Stanisława Wyspiańskiego 20, 50-370 Wrocław

Facebook | Instagram

Major highlights: Decent crowd and plenty of space even for those seeking quietude, hammocks, a jumpy castle for kids, various weekly competitions and rewards (stay updated with their social media events), and a range of craft beers.

5. Prostu z Mostu Beach Bar

Prostu z Mostu is comparatively a new beach bar in Wrocław but has already created quite a niche for itself because of its amazing location, outstanding facilities, plenty of dedicated space, and amazing decor aesthetics. The 5000 m2 chillout space is sufficiently stocked with some lethal cocktails, wines, craft beers, and delicious food. They keep organising artistic events and engaging game shows for people who are determined to experience the best of Wrocław nightlife during summer.

Prostu z Mostu is a nice, 15-minute stroll from Basen Beach bar by the Odra river. The sprawling forest around and sunset views over the river make this place look insanely alluring. But you have to be informed that there’s an entire army of mosquitoes waiting to ambush you, so prepare yourself accordingly. You can carry some spray and eventually wear long sleeves.

Google rating: 4.5/5

Where: Pasterska 1, 50-304 Wrocław

Facebook | Instagram

Major highlights: Relaxed outdoor bar with separate dedicated areas with umbrellas and tree barks, sandy beach with river views, beach volleyball, live comedy shows, and big-screen telecast of the football matches.

6. Pool Beach Bar (Basen Beach Bar)

At a mere 7-8 minute drive away from the city centre, Pool Beach Bar is a perfect waterfront lounge with vibrant space and cool views. Stara Odra Beach Bar and Pool Beach Bar face each other from either side of the Odra river. This easygoing location whipping up bar bites & quesadillas offers great wine, cocktails & beer options.

The idyllic vibes at Basen Beach Bar are identical to Stara Odra since they are located a few hundred metres apart separated by Mosty Trzebnickie. If you want to skip the overwhelming crowd at the other top beach bars in Wrocław, this place might impress you with its cosy and relaxed atmosphere.

Google rating: 4.5/5

Where: Pasterska, 50-231 Wrocław

Major highlights: Possibility to rent a Sheesha, sheltered space with wooden hut frames - ideal for large groups with a possibility to make an advance booking, waterfront seating available.

7. Hotspot Beach Bar

Located in a large comfortable space underneath the Millennium Bridge, Hotspot Beach Bar is the largest beach bar in Wrocław. The blissful space on the waterfront with sprawling sandy space has a therapeutic touch to it. Once here, you’re not just rewarded with terrific nature views but also comfortable seating space with coastal vibes. To top it all, you have lush green grass cover to just sit or lie down in the warm summer evenings while you sip on your favourite cocktail or beer.

Hotspot Beach Bar lies in the western part of the city and is known for hosting colourful parties and big shows. If you’re someone who loves sampling experiences like dancing under the moonlight in a lively place with cheerful people and great food, head to Hotspot Beach Bar. This place epitomises the nightlife in Wrocław.

That’s the way people in the city relish summer evenings, something that many manage to sample once in a lifetime.

Major highlights: Big parties, concerts, live shows, food truck, yoga, volleyball court, and awesome cocktail options

Other fascinating outdoor summer bars in Wrocław totally worth checking out!

8. Floating bars in Wyspa Słodowa (Słodowa Island) & Wyspa Tamka (Tamka Island)

Let me begin by saying that this is not a place for those seeking a tranquil and laid back atmosphere!

Wyspa Słodowa & Tamka erupt with people on summer nights when the youngsters in the city head out to seek the best of nightlife in Wrocław. Apart from plenty of outdoor space on the island, there are floating bars in Wyspa Słodowa that serve classic drinks, open-air seating space, a dance deck and a seamless view of the finest baroque work in this part of Poland - the University of Wrocław.

Barbarka, Ponton, and Zwodowani are the floating bars on Słodowa Island you can visit if you don't feel like trudging in the sand. There are a few clubs on Wyspa Tamka where you can expect endless queues on weekends. The rave parties on these islands last until dawn's break. An ideal location right in the city centre if you want to party the night out! No peace nor calm is guaranteed ;)

9. Gaj Chillout Bar

Maximum greenery, minimum stress, Gaj Chillout Bar is a place where you can appreciate the city views from the comfort of a hammock. Located in the city yet a bit far away from the noise of vehicles and people, the bar has plenty of laid-back feel to it.
